PCA Driver Ed event at the Autobahn Country Club near Joliet, IL. My second full track day here and finally a nice dry day with perfect weather. The turnout wasn't huge so plenty of space and next to no traffic to deal with.

I got a lot more comfortable here and I picked up speed in a lot of places. I know that another day or two I could get sub 3 minute lap times. I know that in particular I could improve in corners 4-5, 13, 15 and 17. All of those corners are faster than they appear upon approach.

I got my laptimes down into the low 3:07s, a major improvement over the 3:19s I was doing here last time. I'm sure the new tires also helped a bit.

I used the Trackmaster from Trackaroo on my Droid X with an external Bluetooth GPS receiver stuck to the rear window. Especially here without anything blocking clear access to the sky it was very reliable.
