Yellow's Day at the Track
Gingerman Raceway - April 13, 2001

After a long and brutal Chicago winter we finally dusted off the cars and attended our first track event. My 911 was still in the shop so I was forced to bring the "spare" Porsche again. Jason brought his 993 again with no changes to the car since last season. He also brought along a co-worker who just bought an Audi S4 a couple weeks prior hoping to get him to catch the "track bug" as well. Like I always say, driving on the track is like crack, try it once and you're hooked!
This event was organized by a local Porsche repair shop and spread by word of mouth only. Fortunately I was able to make it as the turnout was very low and there was more than enough track time for everyone!!! Since this was a "test and tune" type of event it was almost exclusively racers. Jason and I were among the very few who DIDN'T trailer their cars to the track.

Once again here is some in-car video of me taking a lap. I tried several different lines this time most notably I watched the fast group to see how they take turn 2 and I think I like this line now.
