Best dive yet! Shortly after getting in the water we saw almost
a dozen Galapagos Sharks being very active, almost like a feeding
frenzy. Very exciting to watch especially while hanging on to rocks
in the strong surge.
After that we didn't see many other sharks but saw three Octopus, apparently
one female and two males mating. After that Melanie saw a huge yellow
Pufferfish. My camera was fogged up around that time so I stopped taking
pictures. Saw some Trumpetfish, very tiny Blennies living inside empty
Barnacles and lots and lots of fish! Huge schools blocked out the sun
(what little there was since it was mostly cloudy) immediately above us.
Saw a Jewel Moray in a hole.
Near the end we backed up and swam back through the shallows hoping to
find the Sharks again but no luck. However just as we were to ascend
to our safety stop we saw a huge Whitetip Reef Shark. I didn't think it
was a Whitetip at first as I've never seen one that big before.
During the safety stop we saw two Bonito pass by in the distance and
shortly after that a huge Wahoo passed very close to us.
