We said goodbye to Melanie and Steve and headed to Bangkok to spend a few days among the hustle and bustle of one of Asia's great cities. I was last here 17 years ago and it has changed a lot. Since then there are subways, the SkyTrain and highways so traffic isn't quite as horrible as I remember. It's also quite a bit more built-up.

We stayed at the Pan Pacific Serviced Suites which were awesome. The rooms were enormous and very comfortable. There was a small kitchen which included a combo washer/dryer which was very handy. The pool was small with very cold water and seemingly perpetually in the shade. The included breakfast was also excellent. My kids also enjoyed the fact that there was a "game room" on our floor with a pool table, foosball table and a Wii.
