The last event we thought everyone could enjoy, a waverunner tour of the Everglades to see Dolphins and Manatee.

Ended up being a LOT of fun. The waverunners were huge, each handling up to three people and a total of 400lbs. We started by slowly leaving the dock and getting the hang of controlling the machines, learning to turn, stop and back up.

Then we rode quite a bit into the 10,000 Islands and stopped when we saw a small group of Dolphins. They weren't that ineterested in us, they were at a hunting ground.

We continued much deeper into the Everglades and made a stop at a location where Manatees are often found and we were in luck, Manatees! There were only a few but we all got a few good looks. Our guide then encouraged us to jump in the water. Vince and his kids did and were shocked to find out shallow the water and how soft and muddy the bottom was.

We then sped back and made a quick 10 minute stop at a nice beach where we swam in the super shallow water and the girls collected some shells before going back to the harbor.
