Our first stop was the amazing Diamond Beach and Glacier Lagoon. By then the weather improved nicely. The big chunks of ice on the beach were a lot of fun walking around and taking goofy pictures on and around.

We crossed the street and saw the lagoon and the girls had a snowball fight in the fresh sticky snow. Perfect snowball snow. Saw several seals in the lagoon swimming around.

The only other "hike" was at the very interesting Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon. It was smaller than I expected but after the overnight blizzard it was very slippery. We pulled out our spikes and slipped them over our hiking boots and that made it MUCH easier to get around. We saw other people show up with just hiking boots who didn't get to the steep parts because they were hard to do without the spikes.

One the way back we stopped at Skógafoss Waterfall to see the double-rainbow since the weather was nice and sunny now. We then had a nice lunch at a restaurant nearby before driving back to Reykjavik.
