We're going to Iceland for spring break so obviously we need to do some snorkeling. I had heard it's one of the most unique dives but when I contacted Scuba.is about diving the site they told me the minimum age is 18 but that snorkeling you see the same thing since the water is so clear. My kids were 12 and 14 at the time so scuba was not an option so snorkeling will have to do. While there we learned that they have since increased the minimum age is now 16 years but we bought our tickets before that so we were ok.

We showed up dressed warm and were given nice thick bunny suits and then really nice dry suits on top. Then wet suit three finger gloves and hoods. Warm enough yet? We then crossed the street to the stairs down to the crevice.

The snorkel wasn't super exciting. The main thing about this activity is the unique opportunity to snorkel between two tectonic plates. The scenery isn't that exciting and there is no life to speak of.
