The Castle in Prague, Czech Republic

Here is a view of the Prague Castle from the Old Town part of Prague, across the river.

I'm just a sucker for some nice Gothic architecture. The cathedral doesn't disappoint.

No Gothic catheral would be complete without spectacular stained glass.

Although it took 500 years to build the cathedral, most of the stained glass was installed in the early 20th century.

Inside the cathedral is this 2 ton solid silver coffin for the Prague patron saint.

A typical feature of Gothic architecture are flying buttresses.

Even the rain drainage is handled properly.

This is the largest room room in the old section of the castle itself. It used to be used for jousting matches and other entertainment.

We weren't in Prague long enough to wait in line 6 hours to see the display of the royal jewels. Instead I took a picture of the poster.

I took a picture of this park near the castle since it's supposed to appear in the movie Le Miserables.

I don't remember what this building was. I did have some amazing bells.
