A last minute getaway for my mom's 60^th birthday. We planned the trip last minute, just a week before the trip over Labor Day weekend, and we were pleasantly surprised rooms were not only available but at very reasonable rates.

I had not been to the Wisconsin Dells since I was around 12 years old so I didn't really know what to expect. Some of the bad old cheesy stuff was gone and fortunately most of the good old cheesy stuff was still there. One additional aspect of our trip is that we were traveling with four small children aged 3 and under, so we tried to stick to small kid friendly activities.

Around Wisconsin Dells
Just a few pictures of things around the Dells. We didn't actually spend much of our weekend on the main strip.

Wilderness Resort
We stayed at the Wilderness Resort, a golf course resort with two very large water parks of it's own.

Wisconsin Deer Park
Among the hundreds of attractions in the Wisconsin Dells one of the few that has stood the test of time is Wisconsin Deer Park. This is an attraction that I remember when I was a kid and now I'm taking my kids there.

Wisconsin Ducks
Definitely counts as a "good" old cheesy ride and a can't miss ride when visiting. The script could use some updating but the ride through the scenic woods and river is very nice.
