We planned the primary trip to the Big Island where we've never been before but our friend Melanie also suggested we come out a few days earlier and see her in Honolulu as well. Turns out that was a really good idea because the island are very different and offer very different activities.

After that we took a quick hop over to the Big Island where we have never been before. Despite the lack of really nice beaches it was a lot of fun because there was just so much to do. We stayed in Kona which seems to be just the big trousist spot. I guess real residents tend more to live in Hilo.
