Empire State Building

I checked the forecast and the weather wasn't going to stay nice and sunny forever so we decided to walk over a few blocks from the Hampton Inn to the Empire State Building. Here we saw longer lines than any other tourist site we had visited on this trip.

Fortunately we had the City Pass which allowed us to skip the longest lines to buy tickets and go directly to the elevators. Once at the top the obervatory was chock full of tourists pressing their noses to the fences. We had to wait our turn to get a decent view. Once we did get to check out the views we were very impressed.

The weather was slightly hazy but we could still get a decent view of the city including all the way down to the State of Liberty. We only went to the 86th floor obervatory. Once there I even looked up but couldn't see where the 102nd floor observatory could be.
